Membership with the CMPA carries many benefits including:
- Job Bank – a job bank through which local employers may advertise for open positions;
- National Association of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) – membership in NFPA (the national association of which CMPA is a charter member), which gives us a voice in issues that affect the paralegal profession both regionally and nationally;
- Programs/CLE Opportunities – programs featuring dynamic speakers who cover relevant topics to the paralegal profession and continuing legal education opportunities;
- Student Liaison – a Student Liaison, who works closely with local colleges that offer paralegal programs to support the role of education in paralegal career development;
- Bar Association Connection - the CMPA has always had members who jointly belong to the Worcester County Bar Association, and are active in various events and committees, thereby strengthening the tie between the associations;
- An Opportunity to Give Back – the CMPA has actively participated in pro bono and charitable activities, including, but not limited to, the Juvenile Court Library Program, the Bears for Hope Program, the Mustard Seed Dinner, the Annual Veterans Dinner, and NFPA’s military paralegal outreach program for Navy Legalmen and Military Paralegals serving overseas;
- CMPA Website – a website that provides information about our own association and the paralegal profession, generally, with helpful links to the national association, a calendar of events and a Forum to communicate with other members;
